The Create Floor Plan button allows you to add a new plan to your community inventory. Once saved, you can then attach elevations and media to complete the plan setup.

How to Create a Floor Plan

  1. From the Inventory – Floor Plans page, click + Create Floor Plan.

  2. A form will open with fields to enter floor plan details.

Required Information

When creating a floor plan, you’ll need to provide details in several categories:

Floor Plan Details

  • Name – The floor plan name.

  • Slug – Unique URL-friendly identifier (auto-generated but editable).

  • Description – Notes about the plan.

  • Virtual Tour URL – Add a link to a Matterport or other tour if available.

  • Status – Will show if it's approved, pending review or denied.

  • Community – The community the plan belongs to.

  • Builder – The builder associated with the plan.

  • Phase – If tied to a development phase.

  • Listing Product Type – Optional classification.

Compatible Lot Sizes

  • Select the lot sizes this plan can be built on (e.g., 40’, 50’, 60’).

  • Plans and lots must be compatible in XO KISS for a match.

Property Details

  • Beds / Baths – Number of bedrooms and bathrooms.

  • Stories – Number of stories.

  • Garages – Garage count.

Size

  • Size (lot size compatibility) – Total width (e.g., 40’, 50’).

  • Length, Width, Depth, Acreage – Additional measurements, if applicable.

Price Details

  • Amount (USD) – Base price for the floor plan.

Saving the Floor Plan

  1. Review your entries.

  2. Click Create Floor Plan to save.

  3. Your new plan will now appear in the Floor Plans grid.

Next Step: Add Elevations

Once a floor plan is created, you can add elevations (variations of the plan, such as A, B, C).

✨ With this process, you’ll set up floor plans that can be linked to lots, enhanced with elevations, and paired with media to display beautifully on your Homefinder Map.
