Adding Video to Lots

Learn how to add a video to an individual lot in so shoppers can watch it on the homefinder map.

Written by Allison Charette

You can now add a video to any individual lot. Shoppers open it from the lot's detail panel on the homefinder map, just like a floor plan's virtual tour.

Use it for a spec home walkthrough, a drone video of a home site, or any other video tied to one specific lot. Each lot can have one video URL.

Adding a Video to a Lot

  1. Open the lot record from the Inventory – Addresses grid.

  2. Go to the Listing Options tab.

  3. Paste the link into the Video URL field.

  4. Click Save.

If the text isn't a valid URL, you'll see a validation message and nothing is saved. Check the link and try again.

Changing or Removing a Video

  • To replace it: paste a new link into Video URL and click Save.

  • To remove it: clear the Video URL field and click Save. The video button disappears from the homefinder.

What Shoppers See

  • Lot has a video: a video button appears in the lot's detail panel on the homefinder map. Clicking it opens the video the same way a floor plan virtual tour opens.

  • Lot has no video: no video button appears.

  • Lot has a video and its floor plan has a virtual tour: both buttons appear, labeled so shoppers can tell them apart.

💡 Adding a lot video doesn't change floor plan virtual tours. They keep working as before.

Tips and FAQ

Which video sites work? YouTube and Vimeo links work well. The video plays inside the homefinder, so the host must allow its videos to be embedded on other sites.

My video won't play. Lot videos follow the same approved-domain list as floor plan virtual tours. If you're using a new video host, ask the Cecilian Partners team to add its domain.

Can I add more than one video to a lot? Not right now. Each lot holds one video URL.
